No one is ever truly prepared to let go of someone they love, to hold them with the knowledge that it's the very last time they ever will. It is one of the most difficult things to endure throughout the course of life and sadly, one of the inevitable things in life as well.

Whatever the cause, there comes a time where we are all forced to grapple with saying goodbye and moving on after the death of someone dear to us. At first, continuing on seems unfeasible. All of these questions run through your mind, day and night. "Why did it have to be them?" "What am I supposed to do now?" "How can I be happy knowing they're not with me anymore?" Nothing puts your mind at ease. It becomes an exhausting and overbearing state of mind. You can't seem to understand why God or the universe or fate gets to determine when someone is taken from you, when their time is up. You can't comprehend the idea that they're never coming back, that you won't hear their voice or feel their warm embrace again. The last thing you can think about is going forward and learning how to cope with your loss. It almost seems selfish to lead a good life in their absence, to be successful and for that loved one to never have any awareness of it.

However, the most crucial component to coping with this unbearable loss is to know, deep down in your heart, that your loved one is still with you every step of the way. It's a hard thing to accept at first because it's such an abstract concept. You have to know that more than anything in the world, they would have wanted nothing more than your success and for you to find happiness. You have to believe that they would not want you to spend the rest of your life in mourning but to spend your life doing things that would make them proud when they look down on you.

You'll know they're still by your side when you're in a crowd and smell their scent in the midst of everything, when a warm gust of wind blows on a cool day, when they visit you in your dreams at night. You can find signs of them anywhere so long as you know where to look and you don't lose hope. These signs are one of the greatest comforts and the sweetest surprises.

No one ever dies so long as you keep them alive in your heart, store the memories close, and reminisce often.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
