There are so many current artists that we listen to daily, some who are inspiring, others who just have catchy song lyrics. Meghan Trainor is one of those artists that has a little of both. Her songs are super catchy and you can't help but sing along; however, if you pay attention to some of her songs, there is great life advice to pay attention to as well. Below are a few songs I have heard that caught my attention in a positive way.
Song: "Dear Future Husband"
Quote: "You gotta know how to treat me like a lady." Do not settle for any boyfriend, fiance, husband, or friend treating you like anything less. You are special, you deserve someone who will treat you right.
Song: "All About That Bass"
Quote: "Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top." We have all struggled with body image sometime in our lives. Sometimes you need a little reminder that you are perfect from the bottom to the top. Life is too short to dwell on what other people think of you.
Song: "Like I'm Gonna Lose You"
Quote: "I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you, I'm gonna hold you, like I'm saying goodbye, wherever we're standing, I won't take you for granted, 'cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time." I think this song really speaks for itself. Don't take anything for granted; you never know how long you are going to have with someone until they are gone.

Quote: "Won't you take it from a friend, that boy is not a gentleman, and you'll find out soon enough, what you're feeling it ain't love, 'cause he called me yesterday, and he asked me on a date, tried to play you like a fool, and that's why I'm calling you." Let's be honest; how many times have you tried to stop your best friend from getting hurt? These lyrics couldn't be more true. As hard as it is to hear, that boy in your life isn't your forever guy if he's cheating on you or treating you badly. Your best friend should be your bestie for life; she's got your back and she's only looking out for what is best, and that boy is "no good for you."
Song: "Close Your Eyes"
Quote: "Everybody's born to be different, that's the one thing that makes us the same, so don't you let their words try to change you, don't let them make you, into something you ain't... No!" Every bit of this is true. We weren't meant to be the same. Everyone has their own special talent in life, so don't waste your time trying to be someone you're not. Focus on yourself and be the best version of you that you can be.
