Disney movies set out to teach an import lesson in life, and I have not found one Disney movie that was not inspiring in some way. Everyone has ups and downs in their lives, so here is some advice from the Disney movies we all know and love.

"There's the whole world at your feet." - Burt from "Mary Poppins"

Don't forget how important it is to never give up. There is something out there for you, promise.

"Always let you conscience be your guide." --Jiminy Cricket from "Pinocchio"

Don't do anything you conscience thinks would be a bad idea because it probably is. Stick to your morals no matter what.

"If you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew you never knew." -- Pocahontas from "Pocahontas"

Everyone is fighting their own battle, just like you may be right now. Being considerate to those in all situations creates a better environment for everybody, and it may even change a person's life.

"The very things that hold you down are going to lift you up." -- Timothy Mouse from "Dumbo"

Make your weaknesses into your strengths. Conquer the things no one thought you ever would.

"If you weren't you, then we'd all be a bit less we." -- Piglet from "Winnie and the Pooh"

Don't be any less than who you actually are. Who you are is what people like about you, don't change that for any reason.

"Venture outside your comfort zone. The rewards are worth it." -- Rapunzel from "Tangled"

Go out and try that new hobby, join that club you are interested in. You will never know until you try and it may be the best thing ever.

"Remember you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine." -- Snow White from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

In your world, you are the only one that can make yourself truly happy. Rely on making your own happiness, not rely on other people to help.

"The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it." -- Rafiki from "The Lion King"

Mistakes are not a big deal, everyone has made a few, your choice is to either learn from it or dwell on it.

"If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." -- Cinderella from "Cinderella"

Follow your dreams and never give up, ever.

"I never look back darling. It distracts from the now." -- Edna Mode from "The Incredibles"

Looking back to the past is dangerous, unless it is to teach yourself a lesson. Live for the future, live for now.

"Just close your eyes, but keep your mind wide open." -- Leslie Burke from "Bridge To Terabithia"

Having an open mind means more creativity and acceptance. Even though you may be afraid, take a deep breath, close your eyes and open your mind.

"If watching is all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without ya." -- Laverne from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"

Live moves fast, don't let it pass you by.

"Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one." -- Grandmother Willow from "Pocahontas"

Fight for what you believe in and go on that path of happiness, even if it has the most obstacles and brings upon the least acceptance. This for you, not them.

"Like so many things, it is not what's outside, but what is inside that counts." -- Merchant from "Aladdin"

Never judge a book by its cover.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
