If you’re not in class then you are probably at the library. Yes the library is meant for studying and researching but sometimes you can actually have fun. With the amount of time we spend here, we might as well have fun and enjoy it. Of course, we will eventually get that paper done but we do have some time to just hangout. Here are Five reasons why you should start going to the library:
1.Starbucks
Most college libraries have a local starbucks or some other kind of coffee shop. These $5 drinks can help you get through those long nights and never ending essays.
2. The “Table”
Whether it’s the greek tables or just your table of friends we all them. This is honestly the main reason I go to the library besides studying of course. You get to catch up with your friends and spend half of the night laughing about getting yelled at by the librarian for being too loud.
3.Meeting New People
Besides your awesome friends, there are plenty of people at the library that you don’t know. Going to the library allows you to meet some new people and get to know the people in your class. Hey, that guy in your Chemistry class could be your future husband or he could just be the guy that helps you pass the class. Either way, get out there and meet new people.
4.Free Wifi
Yes, we all pretty much have wifi but it can be really slow so therefore the library allows the perfect place to finish watching that last episode of Gossip Girl or catch up on what is going on, on Facebook.
5.The Group Study Room.
If you have never rented out a group study room then you are missing out. This sound proof room is a perfect area to actually get work done and hangout with friends. You can have as many people as you want (don’t get too crazy) and you don’t have to worry about the mean Librarian yelling at you. Like most study rooms, it has either a dry erase or chalkboard, where most people use them to study you can use them for whatever activities (like playing hang-man).
The library is the perfect place to socialize and make new connections. So, instead of hiding in your dorm room to get work done start coming to the library.
