Dream 5: LA Adventures With Liam Payne & Justin Bieber

I was never more disappointed to realize this was a dream.

If you've been keeping up with the "Dreams; Mini-Series" you may have noticed a pattern in my dreams. They all include at least one famous person. I'm not sure exactly why that is but I suspect it's because I'm a huge lover of television, movies, and music. You can almost always count on one of them being on when you're around me. Well, this dream isn't any different. It revolves around two incredibly famous people. Justin Bieber and Liam Payne.

Picture the most black-lit, glow-in-the-dark, neon bowling alley you can. That's where the dream began. I was bowling with a few of my friends from middle school who I haven't seen in years. Next thing I knew, in the bowling lane next to me, Justin Bieber was bowling whilst singing his hit from 2010, "Baby." As I'm replaying this dream in my head, I'm realizing this was most definitely my brain making the connection to bowling alleys and Justin Bieber due to the music video of "Baby" taking place in a...you guessed it... bowling alley.

I apparently knew Justin in my dream because after he was done showing off his singing, dancing, and bowling abilities he said, "Hey, Hansen! Long time, no see!" and proceeded to give me a hug. "This is my friend, Liam!" Liam stepped out from behind Justin like he was just waiting for his cue. Even in my dream, I freaked out over meeting Liam Payne.

I guess I'm a One Direction fangirl in every world. Justin, Liam and I played a game of bowling and then spent hours at the arcade. We rocked out to Guitar Hero and won basically all of the stuffed animals in the claw machine game. All of those animals from the game were given to all the directioners and beliebers outside of the building. By the time we looked at the clock, it was 3 AM.

The three of us walked to the parking deck and went to the top level. The deck overlooked the city of Los Angeles. I was sat on top of a car just admiring the view, as it was one I'd never seen before. Justin asked me for my opinion on this new song he was going to release, which then led to Liam doing the same thing. We all danced along to the beat of their songs, and let me tell you, I was a much, much better dancer in my dream than in actuality. Dancing turned into singing, which turned into Justin & Liam writing a song together which has now made me very disappointed that there hasn't been a Payne-Bieber collaboration in real life.

We stayed up until the sun began to rise over L.A. It's really very odd. During this part of the dream, it's like it was real. Even now, I can remember what it felt like to just look out over the LA skyline with the sun rising. I've never had a dream make my heart feel so full of happiness. I guess the only way I can really explain it is, you know when you think about a really happy memory and you can feel it in your heart just how happy that moment made you? It's like that. It's weird to me that a dream can make me feel like that.

Okay, so getting back to the dream. We walked out of the parking deck and ate breakfast at a nearby diner and ended up having a conversation about how many dogs was too many dogs. The answer was; you can never have too many dogs. That is where my dream came to a close. I woke up right after that and was very disaoopinted to go to my camera roll and see that the pictures Liam, Justin, and I took were not on my camera roll any more.

I've said this once and I'll say it again; Cinderella, you were right when you said a dream is a wish your heart makes.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
