It is nice to finally be all grown up, but there is a part of us that will always miss our childhood. Being a child for most people was easy because everyone was taking care of you, and all you had to worry about was yourself. Your bad moods would only last an hour or so, and then you would be back to your playful self again. You're most controversial conversation would be about whose house you and your best friend would have your sleepover at. So childhood self, I would like to thank you for a few things.
1. Thank you for giving me those years where I could wake up and not have anything to stress about.
I was able to wake up with no stress and with nothing on my mind except for what was for breakfast.
2. Thank you for the days where the hardest decision was which color was going to be my favorite for the day.

Now, most of the decisions I make during the day will impact not only my future but how people will perceive me as a person.
3. Thank you for the moments that were spent at home.
As I grew up, I was constantly making plans with friends and hanging out with them instead of just being home. I wish I spent my weekends hanging out with my family more than I did.
4. Thank you for the childish fights with friends that only involved who got what Barbie doll.![]()

6. Thank you for the easy meals.
This may sound stupid, but I didn’t have to worry about the food I was eating because I was young and my mom made sure I was eating healthy. Now it is my responsibility to eat healthy and make good eating choices.
7. Thank you for the easy homework assignments.
As a child, my homework would not take long at all, and I would have time to play outside before dinner every night. Now, some assignments I receive take longer than a day to finish.
8. Thank you for the crazy imagination.
9. Thank You for the non-social media days.
10. Thank You for the period of time with no alarm clocks.
11. Lastly, thank you for loving yourself.
As a child, I loved myself for who I was. I was not yet affected by society. Nowadays, there is judgement everywhere and expectations from society, but I have learned to love the beautiful woman I am becoming.
