Though I may have only known you for a little while now, I can say many good things about you. The most notable of them includes your son and the amazing job you have done raising him, because we both know that dealing with him can practically be considered a full-time job. But I have nothing but thanks for you. Thank you for bringing him into this world and teaching him how to be the best person he can possibly be.

I may jokingly tell him sometimes that he’s “too nice,” but it’s true. He is the nicest and most well-mannered person I know. He will go out of his way to make other people happy.

Even though he may complain about how expensive we can be at times, I know that he loves splurging on both of us. Whether it’s taking you to a movie and shopping for mother-son time or taking me to dinner and a movie for a date, he does what he can for the sake of our happiness.

A parent’s approval is very important to me. I believe that if a parent doesn't approve of their child's significant other, things won't last very long.
