A letter to the man I am in love with

"Sometimes home isn't four walls but two eyes and a heartbeat." -Meredith Grey

I am not the type of person to believe in destiny, or fate. I’m a realist. I am an independent person, and I love that about myself. I have always been perfectly happy with a night of watching Netflix by myself. In fact, I've always preferred to be alone. You've been the only exception to that. Meeting you has changed my perspective on life. You have showed me the definition of true love.

Our relationship hasn't been by any means easy, we've fought our fair share, that's for sure. The two of us have both been so terrified of getting hurt. I can't say it's all been perfect but after all the challenges we've faced, it's proven to me how much I want to be with you. I'd cross oceans just to see you smile. Nobody has ever made me as happy as you do. I love the way you would dance in the car when we would drive around for hours with no place to be. I loved the way it felt that first night i fell asleep in your arms. I loved how we would always made time for a late night sonic date, no matter how busy things got. I've loved every single moment spent with you. I love the way you find the littlest things that make me laugh, you never fail to put a smile on face. I love how much you care. I love the way i feel my heart flutter when you look me in the eyes and smile. I love the way my name sounds rolling off your lips. I love the way you call me "baby girl" or "Mrs.Piggy." Whether you're being the sweetest or just joking around you still make my heart skip a beat. I love the way it feels to hear you say "it's okay" when I feel like i'm losing my mind. I love the way you steal my body pillow at night, no matter how jealous I get of it. I love the that you always make sure you pray before every meal. I love that you are so open with me. I love everything about you and our relationship. I am completely in love with you and wouldn't have it any other way.

You have opened my eyes to see the world in a way I never have. I used to think that true love was dead, that it was just something in the books and movies. You made me believe in that again. You made me realize that there is still good in people. Because of you, I have faith in humanity. You've helped me feel beautiful again. With you I feel as if I'm capable of anything. You gave me the confidence that I needed to be myself. You've taught me so much and I'll forever be thankful for all that you've done for me. God blessed me when he brought you into my life.

Not everyone gets the opportunity to meet someone like you, let alone love them. Thank you. Thank you for letting me love you. Thank you for making me believe in love again. Thank you for showing me what it feels like to truly be loved. Thank you for dealing with me when I was being stubborn. Thank you for not blaming me for trying to protect myself. Thank you for always reeling me in when I get lost. Thank you for everything you have done.Thank you for being who you are.

I don’t know who I would be today if you never came into my life. Life without you would be so dim. You are what makes me want to get out of bed in the morning. You give me inspiration, motivation, and hope. You keep me anchored.

"Sometimes home isn't four walls but two eyes and a heartbeat" -Meredith Grey

You're my home. Being near you makes me feel safe. I feel comfortable but I also feel like I'm invincible. I could take on the world with you beside me. You give me strength. Words can't describe how much I love you. I just hope that time can show you the truth in my words and so much more.

I love you to the moon and back.

Love always,

Mrs.Piggy

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
