A Letter To The Girl Who Is A Christian

God will never abandon us because of the mistakes we make. He loves us without any conditions attached.

A Letter To The Girl Who Is A Christian

"But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny before my father who is in heaven." -Matthew 10:33

As a Christian today, it becomes much harder to voice our opinions about our beliefs in God. Society ridicules Christians for believing in what we cannot see. Little do they know, it is that feeling of having an omniscient God looking over you that makes us believe. We not only have a God that is omniscient, but He is also omnipresent and omnipotent. Omniscient is all-knowing or all-seeing. Omnipresent is the ability to be everywhere simultaneously. Omnipotent is all-powerful; it is the ability to do anything. We believe in what we cannot see because He had an unfailing love for us.

God's love is not conditional. If it were conditional, all Christians would lose God's love. We are sinners. We make mistakes all day, every day: it is in our nature. The thing is that God loves us despite those mistakes. Sometimes we believe that if a mistake is big enough then God won't love us anymore. That is the worldly flesh and Satan getting in your head. They want you to believe that if you do something so bad, you will lose the love of God, which is not true at all. God looks at all sins as equal, such as killing someone is equivalent to lying. Obviously, you should do neither. One is easier than the other, but that does not make God love you any less.

I got the chance to experience firsthand how it feels to be ridiculed for what you believe. I have been going to church since I was four. I never want to miss church. It is my safe place. Well this week, I felt challenged by someone I knew because he did not believe the same as me. That is fine. He was allowed to think and believe what he wanted to, but that did not change my opinion of God. He started by telling me that church was pointless. When someone without faith goes to church, it will seem pointless. They can't feel the love or peace that God gives us. I went on to tell him that church is not pointless to me. I have a point in church. My point is to make my relationship with my Lord and Savior grow. After, we ended the conversation about church, he called me some names and talked about me behind my back. And when I confronted him, he got mean. I thought about it, and I realized that was Satan trying to make me question my faith. He was trying to make me feel bad about going to church and believing in God.

Our God is a protector. He is a lover. He is a father.

We can't push the love of God away. We can pull it closer. God will never leave us nor forsake us. His love is eternal. We will never let Satan take that away from us.

I say a prayer for you, girl. I hope that you use the bad in your life and turn it around for the glory of God. I pray that you find the strength in God even when everything seems like it is going wrong. There will be people trying to bring you down. Look up to God. He is always watching over you and He will neer leave you. Stay strong.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
