Dear Dreamer,
I know you. You spend your days feeling like you are chained down to the obligations of the world; when you wish you could just run and live your dream. Your heart and mind are always telling you separate things while the sense of responsibility ultimately wins. You let the mundane everyday tasks get into the way of your big, bold dream. You feel like if you continue on this schedule for the rest of your life you will be content, but not spectacular. However repetitive life is, keep your eyes on the bigger picture. Maybe you need to put in a few more hours at your dead-end job to make a couple more dollars because if you do, you're one step closer to achieving your goal of starting your own business. Or maybe you need to practice your pirouette a couple more times because you know if you can nail it, you can do the whole dance effortlessly.
Sometimes, it may not be the routine of things but simply the fear of the unknown. Yes, your dream sounds great, but how often do things turn out the way they're planned? And what if you fail? These thoughts creep into your mind and keep you from even trying it out. Humans constantly feel the need to be safe, to know what's ahead. However when we live outside of our fears, we find the greatest moments life has to offer. We may not always find happy or exciting moments. In fact, these moments can be filled with rejection and pain. Despite all of these heartbreaking moments, there will be one day when you will achieve greatness. Going through all of the pain of stepping outside your comfort zone will bring you an even greater satisfaction of knowing what you can accomplish.
Other times, you may feel the fear of others weighing upon you. When you come up with a crazy idea, others will diminish it. They will constantly make you feel like that could never work, simply because they don't see what you see. Often times, dreamers get stereotypes as those with their head in the clouds. However, I see you. You are the ones who are putting in the backbreaking work every single day. So don't let what others think to determine what you do in life because they only see the parts they want to see. They cannot reach your dreams for you.
My point is, your dreams are the most special thing about you. Our dreams are what makes the most influential people memorable. So do not let the everyday weight of life weigh you down, and instead be inspired by the determination and work that you do. Love every second of your grueling work because I know that one day, all of it will pay off and your dream will suddenly become a reality.
