Class of 2019,
We are almost there. Our freshmen year of college has almost come to an end. It's so hard to believe in just weeks it will all be over. All the anxious excitement we had coming into the year, all the worries we had, questions we didn't have answered, and the happiness we had to finally be on our own; all of a sudden enclosed within the greatness that was freshmen year.
Throughout our eight months at each of our own "favorite school in the world," we faced a multitude of emotions. We cried for broken hearts, 2 am homework, or just because we wanted to cry. We laughed for memorable times and embarrassing moments we wish never happened. We met friends to last a lifetime while losing some friends we've had all our lives. We've managed to keep in touch with the family and friends that were somehow always there when we needed them the most.
Little did we know going in, we would endure a stress we had never experienced before, teaching us the value and difficulty of time management. Our schedules soon became our own; suddenly finding ourselves going out on a random Tuesday night but then dedicating our precious Friday and Saturday nights to studying for hours on end.
We tried our best, we worked our hardest, and we did all we could to make freshmen year balanced and all that we had wanted it to be.
So here's to soon no longer being the babies of our campus. Here's to finishing the first big step in new phase in our lives. Here's to awaiting the new memories sophomore has in store for us.
Before we know it, we'll be graduating in 2019 and really be wondering where the time had gone, wishing we could relive some of the amazing moments we had this first year.
So as a fellow freshmen, I say congrats for what we've achieved this far, and although there are numerous hours of studying and hard work yet to come, there is also so much ahead to keep us continuously excited for.
Sincerely, Your fellow Class of 2019 Peer
