As I head off to college again, it is just starting to hit me that out of anything here at home, I am going to miss you the most. Yes, you, my crazy little sister who used to be the most annoying person in the world to me. But now that we are grown up, all of that has completely changed. I wanted to take this opportunity to just say thank you to the most amazing sister a girl could possibly ask for. Looking back, it really wasn’t until I went off to college last year that we started to grow closer, and throughout this summer we have been inseparable. With the constant practices and workouts every single day, we have become closer than ever, and I am so very thankful for that. I wanted to take this chance to say thank you for sticking with me this summer, and for pushing me every single day to be a better person. Thank you for helping me make it through those hours of crazy workouts and for coming home again and just smashing the volleyball in my face to give me more reps. Thank you for supporting my volleyball dreams, and for almost annoyingly encouraging me to push just one more rep. Thank you for dealing with my crazy emotional breakdowns that have been way too common this summer, and thank you for not only being a sister but a best friend. Thank you for drying my tears and for being my shoulder to cry on when things got rough this summer. Thank you for letting me lean on you when I couldn’t pull myself together, and thank you for understanding me like no one else could. Thank you for finally allowing me to tell you things without the fear of you going to tattle to mom and dad. It is seriously much more fun for me to treat you like a best friend rather than having to sensor myself just because you are my little sister. I am also so glad that I have earned your trust and that you feel comfortable coming to me with anything. Know that even though I am going to be gone at college, I am always just a phone call or a text away. Finally, please know that I love you so much, and am going to miss you more than anything! But let’s be honest the thing that I am going to miss most of all is our constant jamming in the car every day to every song that comes on the radio. No one knows how to jam like the Hosinski girls! I know that college is going to feel so weird without you there with me, but I know that we will have tons of fun and pull plenty of schannigans when I come home for break. I thank God every day for blessing me with an amazing sister like you because you truly mean the absolute world to me. Even though I will always see you as my little sister, I am so glad that you can also be my best friend as well. So with tears streaming down my face, I’ll crank up the music so that we can jam one more time. I’ll say goodbye for now, and patiently wait for the moment that we can be together again.
