Dear Younger Me,
You have a great life and a great family. They will constantly support you. You will have many adventures. You will go to Disney World, the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii. Your parents do love you even though it might not feel like it sometimes. Your sister fights with you, but no, you don't really hate her. You eventually learn to love her even more. All of the books and video games are great... but people are great too. As you get older, you'll start to notice that. That is okay. By the time you get to high school, things will have changed and you will have changed too. Things will happen in high school that change how you view sex and sexuality. It does get easier to talk about, but not by much. It will haunt you that you couldn't do anything. Things get pretty dark for us. We got through it, though. It was hard but we did it and I am so proud of what we have accomplished since then. You will go to college and get a degree in theater. That is where I am now, writing this. Thanks for living an awesome childhood, because after college - adulthood awaits.
Thanks,
Older You
Dear Older Me,
Hey, how are things? You are out of college and out in the big bad world. What is it like? Is it scary? Are you getting jobs in theatre? Did you move to a bigger city? What is the future like? Does Marlee end up getting married? How is paying bills... not fun right? What type of technology is out there, and what new video games or books have emerged since I wrote this? Do you still keep in contact with your college friends? Do you still love supernatural and criminal minds? Do we end up getting married or having kids? I am scared to become you, but I know that I will. Life doesn't stop moving. So I won't either. I hope to become the best me that I can be. That's all for now.
Maddie
