Boy, if only you knew what your life would be like today. If someone told you, you probably would not even believe it. I’m not going to lie, you’re in for a bumpy road. It’ll nearly kill you, but everything you suffer through and everything you are about to learn, not only about the world but yourself, is going to make you a completely different (and better) person.
The people in your life are about to change dramatically. Some of the people you thought you would NEVER have to say goodbye to will leave. And honey, it is going to hurt. It’s going to hurt worse than any pain you’ve ever felt. If I could tell you anything, it would be this: if someone decides to walk out of your life, LET THEM GO. No one deserves to be in your life that doesn’t want to be there. Some amazing things are about to happen to you, and it’s their loss they won’t be there to see them.
Like I said, your life is about to take a turn for the best. You will start to feel a nature of happiness you’ve never known. You thought there was no way you would be able to put these pieces of your world back together, and you were right. Those pieces are gone. But the pieces that they are replaced with are so much better than the ones that were there. If I could go back, I would have so much more faith that things were going to be okay.
Speaking of faith, it’s about to grow so much stronger. You are about to grow so much closer to God in a way you never dreamed. Having trust in the Lord in situations like this is the only way to get through them. I know you are questioning His will, and asking yourself how could this be His plan for you.
Honestly, I am still working on that now. But I do know this: Joshua 1:9 tells us, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” It’s going to be scary, but He will never leave your side.
I know that things are confusing right now, and it may seem like things are never going to get better. But they will, and so will you. The woman you will become in these next few months will look back and wonder why you put up with the things you did. She will know her worth and never question it. She looks at the future confidently, not knowing what it holds, but who holds it.
