To the best sister any girl could ever ask for AKA you:

I would start this off by thanking you, but I think I do that enough so here goes nothing! From the day I was born, you were my best friend, you held me, played with me, and even bought me a bottle filled with candy (which to this day, I'm still mad at you for since you ate ALL the candy). Fast forward 18 years and you still are my best friend.

You've stuck by my side through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, and the laughs and tears. You've been there for me at 2 AM and 2 PM. You've wiped away my tears through every single break up, and laughed with me when we both realized the guys I was crying over weren't worth my tears. But most importantly, you've been with me on my best days and loved me on my worst.

A lot has changed since we were younger (even though we do still fight), I know that at the end of the day, you are my go to girl, my best friend, and most importantly my sister. Since dad's illness, we've grown so much closer. I know I can come and talk to you about anything, and I hope you know you can ALWAYS come and talk to me too!

Unfortunately, I'm the stronger one between the two of us, but when you hurt, I hurt 10x more. I know I never show any emotion because in the end I need to be strong for you, but trust me when I say this, it kills me to see you upset (hence why whenever you cry, I don't cry and you tell me I have a dark soul...I do cry, just not in front of you). So the next time you cry, just remember that even though I'm not crying in that moment, I'm guaranteed to cry when I'm alone.

Here come the thank you's so prepare yourself! Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes, and not getting mad when I don't give them back to you. Thank you for being rude and hating all of my ex boyfriends, because if it weren't for you, I'd probably still be with them. Thank you for pushing me to do my best, and always supporting me. Thank you for being my built-in best friend. Thank you for all the times you bought me Starbucks, even though I probably didn't thank you at the time. And most importantly thank you in advance for being the best maid of honor, and the only one who will be able to control me when I become the insane bridezilla on my wedding day.

Thank you for being the best sissy and role model any girl could dream of having, but for me it's not a dream, it's a reality. I'm so lucky to call you my sister and best friend for life (you don't really have a choice, you are stuck with me).

Love Always,

Your Little Sister

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
