Dear mom,
Thank you for teaching me to always stay true to myself and not let fear get in the way of following my dreams. I don't think I have ever known a stronger person than you. You have shown me the qualities of what it means to be a strong woman. You are constantly sacrificing yourself for everyone around you and you put my happiness and well-being first instead of your own. These actions have truly shown me what it means to care for your children and make sure that they are the happiest they have ever been.
Your selfless nature and willingness to always be there for me are important qualities that I strive to have when I am older. Even though I am at college, I know that I can call you at any time and share the things going on in my life. Whether it is good or bad, you are always there for me. I know I might not take your advice all the time, just knowing that you are helping me in a time of need means the world to me.
You will never be replaced and I could not imagine someone else being my mom other than you. You are my biggest fan but also my worst critic. You know what exactly to say (maybe not what I always want to hear) but you are usually right most of the time. I know I might not always tell you from time to time that I appreciate you, but I do. I'm so thankful to have you as my mom.
So thank you for all the times that I called you on the phone at all hours of the day, for teaching me to not to worry what other people think, and to always have God in my life when times get tough.
You are my first teacher, friend, and confidant. A truly amazing woman in every way. I hope to be half the woman you are one day.
Love always,
Your Daughter
