Dear Lost Connections,

I guess it has been a bit of time, but hey, if you guys are reading this.

To the ones that were not so great, thanks for being there and making me feel bad at times because those times made me stronger. You taught me to get back up again and keep going with a smile. While you are now out of my life, I keep getting back up with my new experiences that I face every single day, and because of you I face every hardship with strength.

To the ones that were great and then turned bad, I missed the good times. On the other hand, I am also glad things went bad and caused you to show me your true colors. You showed me who you truly were and now I am happy you are not in my life. I am happy that you are not here to hurt me more or hurt me later. Thanks for showing me the real you when you did.

To the ones that were great and kind of just faded, wow, I miss you. Whether you are old high school friends or even just people that I met along my life outside of school, I miss you. Yes, I have the good memories of you all, but sometimes, I wish we made more memories. I wish we had more adventures together. I wonder if you also think about me sometimes. That would be cool to know, but yeah, just know that I think about you a lot in high regard. You know who you are.

To all of these connections, thanks for being there when you were! If I did not have you at a point, then I wouldn’t be the strong, kind, and positive minded person I am today. Thank you for the time you spent with me and the lessons you taught me. No matter what happened in our past, I hope things are going the way you want them to go, without me there.

Sincerely,

Your Former Connection

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
