I’d just like to say thank you to the best friends that a girl could ever have. They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but they clearly haven’t had a dog. There’s never a day that goes by that I don’t appreciate your presence in my life.

Thank you for being there for me through thick and thin. When I got dumped, you were there for me restoring my faith in boys. When I was having a rough day you were there to put a smile on my face with your goofy antics. Sam, I always get a laugh out of you, snoozing on the couch belly up! I can always count on you to greet me at the front door when I get home, Otis greeting me with your goofy smile and Sam smelling my butt. When I’m sick, Otis lays in bed with me all day snuggling under the blankets. Otis, When I find myself crying, you’re there to lick the tears from my face and snuggle your little body next to me. When I’m cold you’re there being my little heater keeping me warm. You’re my napping buddies, my walking buddies and my protectors. I know that if anyone tried to hurt me you’d be the first ones to protect me.

You may get on my nerves sometimes and I know that I may annoy you sometimes, but there is no one that loves you more than I do. You steal my socks just to run around the house with them and even though I hate chasing you down, I wouldn’t change it for a thing. I love how excited you get when I have a treat. I love watching you roll around in the grass outside. You make my life better just by being in it.

I know things aren’t always great for you either. I know it sucks that you can’t see, Sam, but I am here to help you through it all just like you help me. I know my boys are getting older and I won’t have you much longer but I will do anything that I can to make sure that you have a good life. I love you more than any words can ever express. Thanks for being my best friends.
