There comes a point in all of our lives where there is the one friend who embarks on a completely new journey without the others. This is completely normal and something that even the closest of friends cannot escape. Although there is so much love there, the need for change and adventure encompasses our desires. As we embark on this new journey in our lives, we cannot forget who in our lives is responsible for allowing this new part of life to happen. Of course, family is number one, but we cannot forget the unconditional love and support that our friends give us, without asking for anything in return.
As I set to embark on this journey, I find myself looking back at everything and everyone that has led me to this point. I think about the trials and tribulations that I have encountered that have brought me to this place in my life. I think about the friends that I have had and lost, but most importantly, the friends who have stuck by me and have given me this chance of a lifetime.
I know that I am leaving you behind and am going to experience new things without you, but please know that I will not forget about you. I will meet new friends who I will become very close with because we are experiencing the same types of things. I will talk nonstop about these new people, but please do not let this affect you. Please know that you will still be my best friends and no one can replace you.
In turn, when I am gone, I know that you will make new friends and these people will become close to you, as well. Please know that I will not be jealous, but instead be happy and grateful that there are people in your life that make you that happy. I want the same things for you that I want for myself, for your happiness is as important to me as my own.
Lastly, thank you for being so understanding and cheering me on during this stressful time in my life. I know that I may not have been as supportive or understanding, but thank you for always being the bigger person. Your support is one of the reason I am able to live out my dream. I cannot wait to be reunited once I return and resume our friendship. Please don't lose that shine and sparkle that makes you so special. Although this next period of our lives will be hard without each other, the change is sure to bring us closer. Our friendship has already been through so much, that at this point, there is nothing that can tear us apart. It is not to say that this won't challenging, but it will definitely be worth it. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us, together or apart.
