Thank you for being some of the best roommates I've had.

Thank you for putting up with me. This time last year I was in a rut. I did not know who I was going to be living with for the next school year. I didn’t know what to do when my original plans fell through, sort of. But then you all came into my life. To Carrie, Alyssa, and Colin, you are all the best.

Carrie, you’re just okay... I’m just kidding. You’re actually really great. I really enjoy our endless talks. But most of all I enjoy our random Nerf Gun fights and screaming like banshees at random hours of the day. You’ve been through a lot this year, but you never let that get you down. And if it did, it wasn’t for long. You are an amazing person, don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

Alyssa, you are a kind soul. I know you have been through a lot in your life. In fact, you’ve been through more stuff than most of us can relate too. But you are a strong individual, both physically and mentally. You get stressed out, but you rarely ever show it. I am very grateful that we are going through the horror that is grammar together. To be honest, I would probably have dropped the course by now if I was going through it alone.

Colin, as I said to Alyssa last year at 10k bingo, you are a keeper. You are the dad of our townhouse. You do all the “manly” stuff for the house, except for dealing with spiders that hang on our back door. Trust me when I say this, all that you do does not go unnoticed. You are always there to talk when I need it, and the same goes for you. With that being said, you are also weird at times.

To all three of you, thank you for putting up with me. I know I may not be the cleanest roommate. My stuff is usually all throughout our place. But I really do try to keep that to a minimum as much as possible. I really enjoy our “family dinners”, our binge-watching anything and everything Netflix, and our nights filled with baking. To think that this time last year I went from having nothing in common with my roommate to having three of the best roommates I could’ve asked for, all in a year’s time, is a bit astounding.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
