Hey, future sis—
First of all, let me tell you something: You are beautiful. My brother is so lucky to have you and I can't wait to welcome you into the family. I'll be honest, growing up with the little turd was hard. There were times I was sure he would never have a girlfriend, let alone a wife.
There were times when he drove me crazy, making fart noises and shooting spitballs at me. He was a pest. And trust me, there will be times when he drives you crazy too.
I don't want to scare you off; you know who he is just as much as I do. He's goofy and can be sloppy and impatient at times. But who isn't?
See, while he has his flaws, I've seen him grow from a little boy into a gentleman. I knew him when he slept in a race car bed. When he was a Power Ranger for Halloween, and when he would play Barbies with me.
I knew him when all he wanted was to play sports, act cool, pretend he hated me, and act like school was the worst thing ever.
I knew him when he saw you for the first time. When he casually brought your name into a conversation, when he told he me he wanted to ask you out, when he tried to hide his nerves for your first date. And I could not be more proud.
He may act tough, but don't be afraid to comfort him. He is human, after all. He has bad days. But he also can have really good days.
Let him treat you; let him take you on trips; let him take your breath away. I know you will be an amazing wife, so let him be an amazing husband.
Remember that I am not just your husband's sister. I am your friend. You're family now. If you need me, call me up.
I hope we spend Christmases together. I hope we go on double dates, have our children grow up together, and make memories.
My brother sees something special in you. You make him happier then I have ever seen him and I am so grateful for that.
I love my brother, and I want the best for him. I may just be his older sister, but I hope you can also consider me a newfound friend.
