A Letter To My Boyfriend Who Is Graduating

Dear Boyfriend,

This is not going to be a cliche and sad love letter. You already know how much I love you. Although I make cheesy very cute, this time I don't want to be too cheesy It is going to be an emotional and exciting time to graduate college. You're finally ending your four years and getting your degree. I am excited to await the more adventures to come in your life. I am also excited to be there for all the adventures to come! I'm especially happy to be sitting during that insanely long ceremony as your girlfriend.

I know you’re excited to start your life. You should be excited because you at this point in your life, you can do anything you want! You don't have to worry about going to your 9ams or going to classes just to meet the ICC requirement. You have to realize how the options and paths you can take are unlimited and 100% up to you.

This is the ultimate next stage in your life. It's beyond what school has prepared you for. You are more street smart than me, so therefore I know you'll be fine! We knew this time would be right around the corner. When we started our relationship, we went into it knowing the challenges to come. The challenges of you being a senior and me being still being a junior. The challenge of you experiencing the real world, while attempt to finish my degree. Despite some other sudden and unnecessary challenges that got thrown at us, we stuck together. Sticking together is more important than others might realize. When you said that we would stick through it no matter what, that's when I realized I loved you even more.

This upcoming end of the semester has been a roller coaster for us both. I'm so proud of you for finishing college and what you have done so far. You have more great times to come ahead of you, which I will happily be a part of. Yet, this wouldn't be a great letter if I didn't share our story.

On Halloween night of 2016, boyfriend and I had a first real conversation. We had small talked before, but this was different. I'm a huge Jersey Girl, so of course, our first topic of conversation was about being from Jersey. The second one was about the stars. While we were walking to a friend’s house, you tried to point out the little dipper. At that time, it was mad dark out and I thought you were making this whole thing up. I found it funny how passionate you were about the stars and pointing this out to me. Yet months later did I find out you were using the stars to make your move. After kicking your butt in pool, 4-0, you then decided to make another move and show off your pool skills. This ended up with me losing many rounds after.

So now let's also talk about our good times.

1. Happy hour chips and Guacamole (Chili's over Viva!)

2. Hiking

3. Watching TV (13 reasons still in the process)

4. Fun weekend nights... enough said on that one

5. Famous snap chat filters...Panda?

6. Listening to music (Volumes, Panic, Nirvana, Jay Z haha, etc).

7. Late night adventures to Marabito, Walmart and Rite Aid

8. Splitting Dolce sandwiches

To end this letter, I wanted it on a positive note. I'm so grateful to have you as my boyfriend. I hope you this letter made you smile at least once. See ya soon!

Love,

Your Girlfriend

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
