Hey Big Sis,
I was just sitting here thinking about you and figured I would give you a little shout out. I am not sure if you are aware but you are the person that I look up to most in this world. I know exactly what you are thinking right now, “you barely talk to me and never bond with me when I ask.”
Those things might be true, but just because I am the type of person that keeps everything to myself and likes to do my own thing, does not mean that I do not aspire to be like you some day. Well, I mean, there are certain parts of you I would like to be like, LOL. Your work ethic, the way you believe in love more than anything else in the world, the way you knew what you wanted to be when you grew up ever since you were in middle school. Those qualities are the ones that if I could just steal them from you right now I would.
I will let you keep your over obsession with certain television shows, the way that you get mad at Shonda Rhimes anytime she kills someone off of Greys, the way you cry the second anyone brings up death, and your obsession with getting anyone who is single into a relationship.
As annoying as you can be sometimes I love you for it. I love that you are so curious about my life. I love that you still say goodnight every time I sleep at home even after sharing a bedroom for 21 years. I love that we watch "Grey's Anatomy" together every Thursday when I come home. You make my life better Sis. I honestly cannot imagine what life would be like if I grew up without a sister. I cannot imagine life if I grew up without YOU.
You are my best friend, my future maid of honor, my person. Thank you for supporting me no matter what. Thank you for always having my back, from middle school bullies to boys that hurt my heart now. Thanks for not judging me when I make stupid mistakes in life whether it’s with an outfit choice, me wearing ripped jeans on Easter, or the boy I talk to (let's not mention names here).
Special thanks for paying for food whenever we go out now that you have a job and you know I am completely broke. The biggest thanks I have is for paying for our Netflix account every month and no longer asking for the $4 that I owe you for it. Honestly there really is not a proper way for me to thank you for being the best sister in the world. You exceed any possible expectations a little sister can have of her big sister.
So yeah we argue a lot and I tell you to stop asking me about my life and I ignore all your questions, but that’s just me being an annoying little sister. In all reality I just want you to know that I love you more than anything.
XO, Little Sis
