An Open Letter To My Best Friends Before We Graduate

We all have that one group of friends that gets us through a lot of trials in our college career. Whether the friend group is small or big, there are always memories that we will cherish forever.

Here's a letter to my group of friends that have given me many memories and have been there for me through some pretty tough times.

First of all, where has the time gone? I can remember when we were little freshmen and thought we had years left to go. All of the plans we had with each other have come and past. Now here we are about to graduate and move on into the real world where we won't be able to see each other everyday. Looking back on all the things we have done (including the stupid things) makes me smile and laugh.

Next, I want to thank you for all those times I needed someone to cry on or to just have a venting session with. I will never be able to fully thank you for everything that you guys have done. I hope that you know that whenever any one of you need me, I will be there. I am always just a phone call away. Even when we are in our separate parts of the world, I will be there for you. Thank you for being my friends throughout this crazy college life.

I just want you to know that you have changed my life for the better. You have made me realize that it is OK to have fun on school nights and that no matter what, you always need a friend. I have learned so many life lessons from you guys and I will be forever grateful for that.

I am proud of all of you and want you to know that you are going to do great things in life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
