We both knew this day would come, but we did not expect it to be so fast. And as graduation comes closer, there are things you need to know.
Just eat the ice cream
We both love the idea of eating healthy, exercising and having a nice body. But the truth is, one salad is not going to give you a perfect stomach, so eating a whole pint of ice cream is okay (every once in awhile).
When you're in a relationship, tell me asap
Just because I am going to be at college, does not mean I do not want to hear everything going on in your life, especially if it's about a boy. I want to hear about how your heart races when you see him, or how you want to dance in the rain with him, or how he knows you don't like chocolate ice cream but you love sprinkles in your ice cream. If you ever have relationship problems, come to me, because I know you, and you'll be stressed, so I'll calm you down and give you the best advice I have to offer. And if some boy hurts you, I will be at his door step talking some sense into him, you can count on that.
High school goes by fast, enjoy it while you can
You may think I am crazy, because how could high school be enjoyable when all you want to do is graduate. But believe me when I say to take it all in. Go to all the Friday night football games even if you know the home team may not win. Keep doing the musical, because one day it will be your final performance, and then it will be over. Keep going to basketball games, especially the ones near Greenfield or Amherst so you can get Hangar wings. Take it from me personally, this chapter of your life will fly by, and you don't want to miss everything with your head in a textbook.
Always know that I am one call away
When I say this, I mean it. Yes, college will have me busy, and we will no longer have the same schedule, but that does not mean I will not be there for you. If you need to cry, you can call. If you want to tell me something that happened at school that has you dying of laughter, tell me. I will only be within forty-five minutes from you, and I will come home when you need me, because I love you dearly, and I would do anything for you.
Finally, thank you
Thank you for the endless laughter whenever we are together. Thank you for coming on trips with me and being part of the Squad 14. Thank you for your love and kindness, I wish more people were like you.
I can not wait to see you grow as a person. And always remember, you will forever be my best friend. I will always love you, and you will never lose me as a friend.
