Well, you're about to start your High School years as a Freshman and starting a new chapter. You're a little bit scared and over thinking to yourself that a lot of students are going to make fun of you or the classes you are taking are hard and you think you're going to fail.

Let me tell you something, you're going to make a lot of mistakes during your High School years including college, classes, friends and dreams.

You're going to have friends who will turn their backs on you use you, and peer pressure you. You need to be surrounded by the positives in High school and don't try to act tough and cool. Be yourself and worry about your education and track. You will get tons of homework and procrastinate every day and your teachers will take points away from your homework because you handed it in late.

Take care of your mom and be nice to her. She's a single mother and wants to help you with your future and to be better than your father who left the family.

High School can get boring sometimes and you're going to think about college all the time while you're in class or somewhere. It's a good thing because you should think about what college that you're planning on going to after you're done High School.

The terrible thing about going to college is that you're going to have to take the SAT and you're going to take it at least 3 times. You will get accepted to a lot of good colleges, but won't get accepted to your dream school that you've been dreaming of since your Freshman year of High School. However, it's alright. Also, listen to your older brother when he gives an advice about college.

Whenever you go to college, here are the some tips that i want you to know and follow:

  1. Think before you speak

Stand up for your friends

  1. You're going to make a lot of mistakes.
  2. You're going to have a lot of haters
  3. People will talk smack about you
  4. Study and do your homework.
  5. Watch who you're hanging out with.
  6. Find a job
  7. Train for Track and Field
  8. Don't do drugs
  9. Don't change your major all the time.
  10. Don't hang out with the people that you don't like.
  11. Help others if they need help
  12. Don't be in a relationship or fall in love.
  13. Don't be afraid of anyone.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
