Thanks for sticking with me past high school. You guys have seen me at my best and worst for sure and have been there through it all. When anything at school happens you're the first ones I text in the group chat to let you in on the latest event. No matter the extent of the event, big or small, you're always my first text. The group chat stories are always a highlight to my day because it lets me know that each of you are flourishing with what you're doing. From Katie making nationals for diving to Kaitlin getting an amazing job for the summer to Alix with all your dance accomplishments, it's great to know you are all succeeding where you are, even if I can't physically be there to support you guys through it all.
High school has come and gone and college is what's consuming our everyday lives. Even though we all go to different schools and are no longer residing in the same town I know we'll always be friends. The distance has brought us even closer because even though we are going our own ways we are managing to still stay close. We have seen each other grow into the people we are today, it's crazy to think of all the things we have seen each other go through; the start of high school along with all the events that come with it, the college acceptance letters, picking a college to attend and living away from home for the first time and everything in between. It sometimes sucks to be so far apart for majority of the year but that's what makes coming home for winter breaks and summer that much more enjoyable.
It is the time where we are all close enough to send a text and meet up somewhere rather than have to plan to see one another a few days in advance (unless it's a surprise, cough Katie cough). Surprises are obviously the best part of living far away because unexpectedly they show up at your school and almost bring you to tears. The friends who you stay close with from high school once everyone has graduated are the friends that will be there with you forever. No matter the distance in between or the different paths that each person takes you know they will be there supporting you through it all. I mean they have seen the awkward middle school days and still want to be your friend so that's an accomplishment in itself.
