To the little hands, hearts, and minds I hope to touch:
I know it might be hard to say goodbye to mommies, daddies, and grandmas when we first meet, but I promise to care for you and keep you safe each day, just as they do. I promise to cheer you toward accomplishments and comfort you through doubts. I promise to always support you as you grow and learn both in my classroom and beyond.
I pledge to support you through the trials and tribulations of your early years. I promise to wipe your tears away and attend to your skinned knees. I promise to console you when life seems so unfair and to remind you often how proud I am of all you have achieved.
I promise to give you a classroom filled with adventure. I promise to nurture your interests and let your imaginations run wild because to me you are astronauts, doctors, lawyers, engineers, businessmen and women, firefighters, police officers, chefs, and bakers. To me, you are whatever your little hearts desire. There is no such thing as a dream too big or too small, too far-fetched or too impractical. I promise to let your dreams come alive within the four walls of our classroom because your dreams are mine.
I promise to start and end each day with a warm smile. I promise to read to you until you can read to yourselves. I promise to be my best self each day as we embark on this journey together because alongside your untied shoelaces, swaying ponytails, and toothless grins is where I truly belong.
Love,
Your Future Teacher
