A Letter To All Of My High School Friends

A Letter To All Of My High School Friends

To My High School Best Friends,

Four years ago, we were just freshmen in high school. All of us were terrified out of our minds that we would not fit in or find friends. However, as fate is in the hands of God, he brought us all together knowing we all needed each other. We were just a ragtag group of friends who enjoyed crazy antics, Friday night football games, and all nighters where we would stay up late watching movies and eating Chipotle.

I loved you guys with all of my heart, and I still do. As I walked out on that stage to receive my diploma two months ago, I remembered all the times we have shared together. I remembered the Times where we built ridiculous projects together while getting sick off of pizza, times where we sat together in the hard times crying in each other's arms, and times when we hugged each other with unbelievable joy. In ten years, these will be the times that turn into bedtime stories for my children, stories that they will remember for years to come when making memories of their own.

All of us are on our own personal journey: We're going to be scattered about the world making it a better place. Some of us will be musicians or scientists, and some of us will be teachers or businessmen, but regardless of who we are, we're all going to remember the times we spent together. College is a new adventure, just like the ones we used to go on together, and even though we're going to meet incredible people, we'll still keep each other in our hearts and memories for ages and ages.

Wherever life may go, may we all cherish the memories we all made together.

With all my Love, Alli

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
