I don't know if you are aware, but you are my world!
When I am away at school, I plan my weekend trips around being able to see you. I brag about you to all of my friends every single day (By the way, thanks friends for always listening to my stories about them...I am sure it gets old.) But if someone knows me, chances are they also know that I have the privilege of being your babysitter. I don't take my job lightly, and like I just said it is a privilege. Being your babysitter means more to me than making money. In fact, I don't care about that at all; I have so much fun just being with you.
I hope I am more than just a babysitter to you. I hope that I am your friend. I hope that I am a role model. I hope that when you get too old for a babysitter, you still let me be a part of your life. I hope that you know that you can come to me for anything no matter where I am living or how big you have gotten. I hope that you will never forget how you gave me the title of "Best Babysitter Ever." This day is a long long time away, but I hope that when you have kids of your own that you tell them how much you loved your babysitter as a child.
You are more than the kids I babysit, you are my heart. I will never be able to thank your parents enough for trusting me to watch you. When they asked me to babysit you, they invited me into your family. I do not take this lightly, and I am so thankful. Being a part of your life and your family is such a huge blessing.
My heart melts when I get a text, picture, or video of you telling me that you miss me and asking when I am coming over. When I am away at college, I have a picture of you that hangs on my wall. If I am having a rough day, I look up to see your cheesing faces to bring a smile to my own face. You are my little lights in this dark world.
Even when you are a little too wild and are asking me to do 500 million things at once, I enjoy every moment with you! As the "Best Babysitter Ever" I want to be a part of your life long after you are "too old" for a babysitter. Watching you grow up is such a sweet blessing. You might be little kids now, but one day you are going to grow up to be amazing ladies and gentlemen. Out of all my hopes and dreams for you, my biggest one is this: I hope that you always stay true to your sweet selves and fall more and more in love with Jesus everyday.
Never forget that you are my heart! I love you to pieces!
Love,
Your Babysitter
