Dear Dad,

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate and love you! Thank you for everything that you have done for me. You literally would go to the moon and back for me. You never have once let me down. And once again I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for always being there to listen to me complain about my mother and brother. You are always there to listen. Thank you for pushing me to do my best. You are always there to tell me I will be fine when it comes to a really hard exam or learning a new position at work. Thank you for being the best role model. You have shown me that you have to work your ass off to reach your dreams in life and to make a good living. Thank you for teaching me right from wrong. Even though you did not really have to teach me because I was already a good child. Thank you for attending every dance recital. I know it wasn't really your thing but, you still sat there and watched your little girl dance. Thank you for always being straightforward with me. You never sugar coat anything for me and I am grateful that you don't. Thank you for letting me live in your condo.

Now that you have moved away I don't get to see you as much but, that is okay. I know that you still love my brother and I more than anything. I know that if we were in any sort of trouble you would rush back home in no time to make sure we were okay. You moving away really didn't bother me that much because I knew I would still get to see you a lot.

But thank you, Dad, for being the best Dad I could have ever asked for. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful man in my life. Someone who is so dependable and caring. Yes, you might not show much emotions but, I know that you love my brother and me more than anything. Thanks for loving me even when I am a pain in the ass. And thanks for always staying on my tail when I need to get stuff done because to be honest it probably would not get done if you didn't constantly remind me. You have helped shape me into the woman I am and thank you for that.

I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me in my life.

I love you Dad.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
