To My New Soroity Sisters

I am so grateful Greek Life brought us together.

To My New Soroity Sisters

To the girls that have made my college experience a million times better, this is for you:

I don't even know where to begin. I never knew that a group of women could shape me so much in such a short time. "Sorority sisters" has a far deeper meaning than girls who go out together and wear matching t-shirts. My sisters are diverse and no two are quite the same. These are the girls who make me laugh to no end, and are always there for me when I need someone to lean on.

These are the girls who are always down to get ready for a night out together, or have a killer workout. And don't even get me started on food, girls can eat trust me; my sisters are always down when a chipotle craving hits.

Obviously, with joining any organization there is a big time commitment. But with these girls I never dread going to events because somehow we always manage to have a good time. I've learned through this process that I am the kind of person that thrives on being busy, and with everything from philanthropy week to sisterhood events, like pancakes at the house, there's always something to do.

To my big and grandbig, I have no idea where I would be without you guys! From the moment of big little reveal we have grown incredibly close. I am so grateful that I have the two of you in my life. I know the two of you will always have my back, and be there for me no matter what. We will be there for each other through the ups and downs always.

It's true what they say, "sisters by chance, friends by choice". These are the girls that will be in there for milestones in my life for years to come. To think that without Tri Sigma I would not have these friends is crazy. I am so grateful that Greek life brought us together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
