A Letter To The Sisters This Holiday Season

Dear Sissys,

Remember when we would wake each other up before the break of dawn Christmas morning because we were too excited for presents to stay asleep any longer? Well...my younger sister and I would wake up. If we dare woke our older sister before 9 am, we wouldn't stay alive to open the presents.

Well, times have changed now. We're all in college and don't get the privilege of waking up in the same home on Christmas morning anymore; in fact, I don't even get the privilege of living in the same state as you guys anymore. The holidays are some of the only times I really get to spend time with you and I don't think I've ever shared how much that little amount of time affects me. Life is so much easier with you guys by my side and I cannot express that enough.

To the oldest:

Our whole lives you've been my role model, no matter how many times I say otherwise. Even though you were an extreme devil child, something inside me always wanted to impress you, whether that be acting exactly like you or just trying to make you laugh. People even say I talk like you which I like to pretend isn't a thing since you're such a weirdo (haha). You never shy from the truth and even though that gets you in trouble sometimes, it's an extremely unique quality that I've always been envious of. I can always count on your goofy self to instantly bring a smile to my face.

To the youngest:

You are my first best friend, my partner in crime, and someone I couldn't be more protective of. Your happiness is everything to me and I'll always be the first to step in if I think someone's messing with it. You're growing into such a spunky, beautiful girl that I couldn't be more proud. You've always been the brains of the family and your motivation is uncanny. Even though you can be the biggest brat in the world, I miss living across the hall from you more than you know. Can't wait to see your sassy self back in action.

To the three of us:

Name a more iconic family? I'll wait. Presents are extremely irrelevant to my happiness during the holidays since all I care about is being back with you guys again. None of us would be the same without the love and support we share with each other. I love you guys an excruciating amount forever and always.
