The best part of me was always you.

There is no other way to start this than by saying thank you. The year we spent together was the best year of my life so far. You made me a better person, encouraged me to do more than I ever imagined, and showed me what it's like to be in love with your best friend. This is your thank you, almost two years late, but written.

When I first met you, I didn't think that you would impact my life the way you did. You were always there when I needed someone to cry to. I was always happy to see your smiling face. You made me want to go to work, made me want to pick up extra shifts, and come in on my days off. Being around you was like having a ray of sunshine by my side. When we began dating, your achievements made me want to achieve more than what I originally had planned. You made me want to be better than I thought I could be. You were my motivator and motivation.

When I say you were my motivator, I mean it. You encouraged me to reach for the stars. I looked at schools to transfer to that I hadn't even considered before. I didn't know if I would get in, but I tried because knowing I tried made you smile. And now, you're achieving more than I ever could.

Being with you was amazing. You were everything a girl could ever ask for and more. You were the best part of me. Even though we are no longer together and aren't considering it, I appreciate the many things you did for me. I am grateful for the year of memories, tears of joy and sadness, and the love we shared. I would be lying if I said I had no love for you now, because there will always be a part of me that loves you.

Thank you for everything, including approval of the writing of this article.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
