Hey Buddy,

When I first messaged you on Facebook about being roommates with you, I never thought we would be as close as we are today. We've been roommates for two years (going on three), and I can't imagine living with anyone else or going through college with someone else.

We've been through a lot since freshman year. From different kinds of roommate situations, break ups and even me losing some friends. Regardless of what life has thrown at us, you've been there through everything, and I can't thank you enough for it. Even when there was nothing you could do, you always tried to comfort me and make the best of a bad situation. I can't thank you enough for that.

Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes, too. Although I don't ask to go through your clothes very often, you still get me go through and borrow what I need to, whenever I ask. I can't resist though - they're too cute.

Thank you for always making me explore different things whether it be trying new foods or going for hikes on a random weekend (and even getting stuck on the side of a mountain). We've also been to a symphony and a play that I probably wouldn't have gone to if you weren't tagging along. You make me go out of my comfort zone, and that's one of my favorite things about you. Thank you for bugging me to do my school work, too, because I would probably forget if you weren't always reminding me to do it.

You've done more for me than I can ever thank you for. You've been an incredible friend since the first time we met, and I hope I have done the same for you. We have so many pictures, videos and memories together that still crack me up to this day. Most of them aren't even that funny. It's just because they've now become inside jokes that we talk about all the time.

Thank you for making me laugh when sometimes I really don't want to, and introducing me to people I never would have met without you (your high school friends and family are pretty cool). You've made me a better person these last two years, so thank you for that. You've done a lot for me in the short time I've known you and become someone I can truly count on.

Thank you for the laughs, memories and friendships I've made because of you. I can't wait to see where life takes us in the future. I hope it involves more ice cream and puppies, though.

Love,

Your Roommate

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
