With hundreds and hundreds of classes and teachers at every single university, it is hard to know what the best classes are to take. There are so many majors to choose from and electives to select from that it can be hard to even know where to even begin making a schedule that will help you get to your ultimate dream career! When it comes to the more common courses such as basic English and Math, odds are students will have friends that can refer them to classes and professors. However, there are so many other classes people have to take for specific majors and minors that can be tricky to find.
Thankfully technology and the internet has become a huge part of everyday life, and especially when it comes to school. A site, founded by John Swapcinski, called Rate My Professors, has come to the rescue. This site has saved my academic life and I will never be able to thank you enough.
Thank you Rate My Professors, for allowing me to have the best experience possible in a university classroom. Without your special website, I would spend endless hours learning from professors who talk as slow as a snail and hear lecturing from teachers who like to fail you for fun. Without this site, I would drown in homework, papers and fall under heaps of stress.
Thank you to the students who partake in supporting Rate My Professor and giving your input on the best and worst classes you have taken during your time in college. Without you guys Rate My Professors would be nothing. Different inputs and reviews from students have allowed me to make the most accurate decisions in what kind of courses I want to enroll in each year. You have all helped me avoid taking classes from teachers who actually hate teaching, as well as have given me opportunities to meet professors that are passionate about the subject they lecture on.
This site gives options to rate professors on categories like "helpfulness," "clarity," "easiness" and even physical hotness. These may seem like vague categories but with the comments and free space users have to write anything else down, others are able to make the best decisions for their course schedules.
I have absolutely no idea what I would do without this site, and I can only imagine my college experience to be a lot less amazing than it has been without it. I am so thankful to the creators of this site as well as the contributors and I can only hope it remains as a tool for generations of college students to come.
