Hey guys,
I have had you all by my side for the past 21 years, and I have to say, I couldn’t have asked for a better set of siblings. Siblings I’ve laughed with, siblings I’ve grown with, and siblings I’ve looked up to from the very beginning. From moving states, changing schools and experiencing a whirlwind of ups and downs that life has presented us with, we’ve gone through quite a bit together. Some things that only we as siblings will ever understand. As we begin to venture out and start lives of our own in the upcoming years, I can only hope that we grow closer as those years go by. While we may not be the most sentimental bunch, I just wanted to let you all know how much you really mean to me.
Being the young one of the bunch, it was always my desire to keep up with the both of you as we grew up. I remember watching home videos of when I couldn’t walk yet but bounced my heart out in my bouncer chair when Barney was on, just because I wanted to jump around like you all were doing on your feet. I probably learned to talk and walk as fast as I did because I had you guys as my example. Without you all, I wouldn’t have had someone to explore the woods with behind our first house, build sandcastles with in our old sand box, ride bikes up and down the golf course with in our second home, sneak downstairs with to look at our Christmas presents before anyone else was awake, or drive to Best Buy at midnight on Thanksgiving with just to see if we had a chance of getting $100 TVs from the Black Friday sales (and we proudly brought home four).
As we grow older and our time together becomes more and more limited, I just wanted to let you all know that wherever you go and whatever you end up doing, I’ll always be your little sister here to support you all the way. I always wanted to be like you two in different ways and have always been proud of both of your accomplishments. I know we all have our own interests and different future career paths, but with our family track record, I know we can all exceed in the end.
You all have called me names, pinched me, pushed me and made me sit in the middle of the car all throughout childhood just to keep the peace between you. And I can’t even count how many times I opened the fridge in disappointment to find all the leftover pizza that I was really looking forward to enjoying for lunch... eaten. But it was all worth it to have siblings like you.
While it makes me sad not knowing when the next time we will all be together again, I know when we finally reunite, we’ll still go back to our childish ways of calling each other names and making fun of each other. But this time, our jokes will be more mature and there will probably be alcohol involved.
Totally kidding. But not really.
Anyways, I thought it would be nice to let you all know how glad I am to be your sister to share this crazy journey of life with. I love you both so much and appreciate every laugh, meal, and adventure we have shared so far and look forward to many more in the future.
Love you guys,
Your little sis
