To My Younger Siblings,
Thank you. Thank you for being the most annoying and obnoxious little you-know-whats anyone could have met because you have taught me more than I could have ever learned on my own.
Thank you for annoying me to no end. Even though you make me want to flip out and rip my hair out, you taught me patience. You taught me to breathe because nothing is ever that serious.
Thank you for making a mess. Yeah, it's a pain to clean up and our bathroom is pretty gross most of the time, but you taught me how to live with others. You taught me how to respect others' things and others' differences.
Thank you for making me a babysitter. Of course, I complained about having to watch you, but it was one of the best things I could have ever had to do. It taught me to be an adult and care for others before myself.
Thank you for laughing when I was upset or mad. You taught me that I shouldn't go through life so seriously, it is okay to mess up. You showed me that it doesn't matter what others think, because as long as I believe in myself and have a strong support system, I can do anything I put my mind to.
Thank you for being you. All that you are and all that you will become, thank you. It has taught me to understand others better. It has taught me that two (or in my case five) is better than one.
Thank you for letting me be your cheerleader. You taught me to gloat about others' successes and be happy for someone other than myself. When you guys achieve something, it makes me happier than when I do.
As I grow older and your ages slowly start to creep up on mine, I hope you realize how amazing it is to have siblings. We may annoy each other and sometimes wish we were only children, but at the end of the day, we know we love each other too much. All of the crafts and gifts we've put together for mom and dad, all the times we broke things in the house, all the times we got each other sent to our rooms, all the times we wrestled in the living room, all the times we cheered each other on -- we have grown up together, literally and figuratively. Our bond is unbreakable.
We have argued and fought so many times (and we will still continue to), but without you, I would not be who I am. I would also be a little less crazy, but it's okay. I love you guys unconditionally and I will never leave your sides. Thank you for dealing with me and all of my annoying older sister habits. I forgive you for all the name calling and telling on me to mom and dad. I am so glad that I have an unconditional army standing beside me. Together, we can do anything.
You all have so much potential, and I cannot wait to see everything that you achieve.
Love,
Your Big Sister.
