Dear annoying younger brother,

I have always wanted a little sister to spoil, to share clothes with, to talk about boys with, and much more, but instead, I got blessed with a younger brother and so thankful for that. Even with the age gap between us, I am so glad to share the sibling bond with you.

I still remember when you were born and I used to hate you because of how much attention you used to get, but it seems like along the way I learned to love you. Although we may be six years apart, you’re still my best friend. While going away to college, I never imagined that I would miss you so much, but I do.

Thank you for always making me laugh

From your stupid jokes to funny sarcastic comments, I can always count on you for a good laugh.

Thank you for always picking me up when I am feeling down

You have always managed to sense when something was bothering me or when I was feeling down and always managed to make things better for me.

Thank you for listening me rant about stupid stuff

From complaining about our parents, to my own life, from school to boys, to just every problem in general you have always listened to me.

Thank you for always taking my side in front of mom and dad

Even though we may fight and bicker continuously, when it comes to sticking up for me in front of mom and dad I can always count on you.

Thank you for the "good luck your exam" and "make smart choices tonight" texts

It may just be a small good luck text during finals week or a text on St. Patty’s day to make smart choices, but they never fail to make my day.

Thank you for being honest

Your opinion matters so much to me and therefore I can always count on you for being brutally honest with me no matter what.

Thank you for binge watching Netflix with me

I’m glad I could get you equally obsessed with Friends and The Office just as much as I am.

Thank you for being always willing to go eat

Oh, how much I love you for always being down to go to BDUBs, or even just late night snacks at home. I know I will always have someone who will eat with me no matter what time of the day it is.

Thank you for being annoying

Yes, I do miss your annoyingness sometimes (don't get too excited). It has just taught me how to deal with other annoying people out there.

Thank you for being YOU

I can’t stress it enough as to how much I love you just the way you are.

You are the best younger brother a girl could ask for, I may not say it all the time, but thank you and I love you. You inspire me to be a better person everyday and I don’t know how I would be able to do life without you. I will always be here for you no matter what.
