It’s been 6 months since you and I first started dating and I can honestly say these have been the best 6 months of my life. Not even the distance between us can break us apart because it only makes seeing you so much more worth it. Even through the hard times I went through this semester, you stuck by my side. Through all the highs and lows, the frustrations over trying to finish a 10-page paper, the sleepless nights I’ve had, and only being able to see each other every once in awhile, you have stuck with me through everything. And I appreciate it way more than you know, I thank the Lord every day for being able to have you in my life. It’s finally winter break, and we have a lot of fun plans coming up, including your birthday on December 22nd, and I can’t wait to make it an amazing birthday for you.
This past semester has definitely been a memorable one, and I owe a large majority of it to you. Before heading back to school in August, I was worried about the distance between us, I was worried it wouldn’t work out with you being busy with basketball all the time. But like you told me, our whole relationship has been based on distance, even when we’re back home. And like I said before, this distance is so worth it when I finally get to see you. Even when we could only see each other for a short amount of time, every second we spent together was worth it, and now we have a whole month of winter break to spend together. And I can’t wait for all the memories we’ll continue to make.
As your birthday is coming up soon, I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you, and everything you do. A year ago, in June, I did not have a good birthday as it was ruined by a horrible person. But this past June, you showing up to my bonfire and meeting some of my closest friends for the first time made it one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had.
For your birthday this year, I really hope I can make it a perfect one for you. Because you have done so everything for me, even went the extra mile just to make me happy. I hope you know I would do anything for you because you have made my life so much better and you put up with me even though I’m just a big weirdo. So I hope you are looking forward to our date to Chicago, and of course, spending the whole day together on your birthday. Because I am going to make it perfect for you, just like you did for me. As always, I hope you know I love you, because I always will. And I hope you know how amazing you, even if you don’t believe me, you are and always will be.
