An Open Letter To College Seniors
Gina Petruzzi

Dear Senior,

I know you probably can't believe that you have gotten to this point. All of the late nights, all of the stress, all of the friends, all of the memories, they're about to come to an end. You've got one year left, one year of freedom, one year of stress, one year of textbooks, one year of dorms, and one more year of college memories. Enjoy it while you can because it's going to go fast no matter what you do. If you've thought the last three years have flown, then this one is sure to fly.

It's so hard to think about an end. What's going to happen once college is over? The future is stressful. But great things are ahead. College has prepared you to be awesome. You have done all you could do so end senior year on a high note. Let the memories be lots, the fun be tons, and the moments be cherished.

Now that you're a senior you should definitely have the moving in thing down. You probably have learned not to bring your entire life to school with you. If you haven't, then try it out, it makes life easier. Moving into your dorm for the last time will most definitely be bittersweet. I'm sure you won't miss the wifi that never seems to be perfect, the shower turning to ice at 10pm, and you most definitely won't miss the fire drills in the dead of winter. The things you will miss are your roommates, your friends, the late night heart to hearts, and most being able to roll out bed with only three minutes left to get to class. Cherish every moment in your little home away from home because before you know it you'll be moving back home or to an apartment of your own.

I know going to class isn't every persons favorite thing to do, but you will miss it. Sometimes you are only in class for an hour. A real job is typically eight hours. That's a long time. You'll miss going to class eventually. Don't fall asleep or skip too many of your senior year classes. You aren't quite done yet, so they still count. Just remember if you can make it an hour in class, you'll be able to make it in the real world.

Most of all you'll miss your friends after your senior year. Cherish the little moments with them for that will be what your remember. Make time for your friends. It's your senior year, so make time for fun not just work. Keep your friends close and have fun with them!

Make your senior year count. You only get to do it once.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
