There's always a perfect time for nostalgia

Elections were pretty nerve racking and the results were shocking. Let's reminisce on the good shows that remind us of those carefree days. One of my favorites: As Told By Ginger.

As Told By Ginger was a show that followed the life of teenage Ginger Foutley. She goes through pre-teen/teen life just as any normal adolescent would, that's what makes this show so relatable. You have the popular girls/boys, then you have the teachers you like/hate, your parents are embarrassing etc.

This show aired sixteen years ago (I was around 6), and I barely understood what she was going through at the time. At around 13 or maybe 14 years old I totally understood what she was going through. After a long day at school I would turn to my diary to record the events that happened throughout that particular day just as Ginger did. As I think about it now, my teenage life was a little similar to hers, I didn't have many friends and my mom was not as "perfect" as other moms.

After Ginger, my favorite character was Miranda played by Cree Summer (my girl). She had all the spice and her sarcasm was incredibly funny. I wouldn't mind her as a friend in real life now because I know I would get a kick out of her sarcasm.

I found a video of my favorite episode entitled, "Deja Who" on YouTube where Courtney gets food poisoning on the week she was supposed to escort the Senator's son to school. The principal was using Courtney to convince the Senator's son to enroll there. Since she doesn't look up to par, Courtney gets Ginger to pretend she's her. Miranda hates the idea. Ginger gets so caught up on being Courtney that she abandons her friends, Dodie and Macie.

This is my favorite episode because Ginger got lost in the sauce and I learned to never get lost in the sauce. Never get to engulfed in yourself (or somebody else's self in this case) that you forget what or who made you. Don't drown.

Teenagers today can relate to this show, preteens today can relate to this show, cause life as we know it hasn't changed at all.

This cartoon shouldn't had been laid to rest.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
