I'm not here to lecture you on the need for gun control, or to tell you that this country is going to crumble, I'm here to talk to you about the importance of love. These past weeks in the country have been terrifying, to say the least, between all of the terror that's been going on I'm here to say, we need to learn to love again.
These situations put our country in a terrible place, as soon as something happens everyone turns to who to blame instead of how do we help. For instance, after the Orlando shooting people immediately turned to blame Isis and the Muslim community, whereas what we truly should have been more concerned about is supporting the LGBTQ community as well showing support to the whole nation. Terrorism is the act of causing terror to others, usually for a political purpose. So we need to show them that yes this was scary, but we are all here together to support one and other, and therefore you can't tear us down.
Love is the answer to most questions, if we are all there to support one and other instead of pointing our fingers the world would be a better place. Stand by each other and care for each other in this time of need and mourning. We are one nation, that's exactly what the Pledge of Allegiance say, so let's stick together as one, now isn't the time for separation. So, let me say to you; love one and other and carry yourself with care and compassion, because everyone deserves the love of others. There is no room for judgement during this time, there is only time for love and acceptance because we all need to be here to support each other. Whether it be a mass shooting, or natural disaster if people are in need we should be there to support them. So, reach your hand out and help someone in need even if it is as small as just saying a quick prayer or giving blood.
