Let's Drop The Political Standpoint On Bathrooms For A Second

We are so concerned about what side to take or what others are taking, let's face the issue that affects everyone no matter what side.

For the record this is not another article about someone's political standpoint. This is an article pointing out something that anyone and everyone no matter what your take on the issue should realize and consider. The transgender and LGBT+ community are not a problem for me or many Americans. Human rights are entitled to everyone no matter what they are or who they are. Although we may not agree with peoples choices or way of life it doesn't mean they are not entitled to equal human rights. Can we consider this issue to technically fall under "equal human rights?"

The news is buzzing with this new policy which allows people to use the restroom of the gender they identify with. Target began the wave now the government is trying to implement this policy in schools. The Government has threatened to take away school funding if they did not cooperate with the policy. Clearly no public school can operate without funding. For centuries the bathrooms have been separated by sex at one point in history they were separated by color. Thankfully that has changed and now sex is how we separate the two restrooms. It is science, male and female, two different sexes. It is not a bias, it is not robbing anyone of any rights, it is a normality that has been around for centuries. This is not the point though, you can take whatever side on the issue but this truth is one no one should have to pick a side on. We are opening a door for sick individuals who will take advantage of the system and use it for preying on women, children and even men.

Hear me out, the transgender community that is pushing for this to pass are not the dangerous ones. Honestly whether we want to accept it or not most of these people honestly just want to use the bathroom with the gender they identify with. It is not to prey on people or cause problems. It is the sick people out there who do these things and are just waiting for an opportunity so they can prey on their next victim. I realize it happens everyday, you cannot stop these people they are going to do it whether or not this policy goes into play. Why should we open the door for ease of an opportunity though? We make access for these people to prey on someone so much easier. You cannot tell me it is not true. I cannot stand the thought of just one person falling victim due to this policy. We can argue that it is not likely to happen but why put that one person at risk? Crime is at an all time high, lets stop it, not make it easier to do. If a man wants a woman or a child what is to stop them from dressing like a woman or simply just walking in a restroom without being questioned? How do you separate someone who is doing these things and not being noticed because we are going to make this a norm? You cannot. Question someone about going in a bathroom you don't think they belong in and if you question the right person you will have a law suit on your hands for starters. It would be violating someones rights and before you know it the you all over the media for discrimination because you asked the wrong question to the wrong person.

I present this case for safety and the protection of people. This world is filled with sick individuals that jump at any opportunity that presents itself to inflict pain and harm others. Do not let this be an opportunity we allow them with. Once again no matter what side you take on the issue, democrat, republican, member of the LGBT+ community or a transgender you have emotions, a brain and a heart. Use them and please realize we our making people even more vulnerable by passing this. Is being uncomfortable going in the restroom of the sex you don't identify with anymore truly more important than making people more susceptible to harm? It is not a gender issue this is a common sense issue.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
