10 Times Lauren Conrad Proved To Be My Spirit Animal

10 Times Lauren Conrad Proved To Be My Spirit Animal

Everyone knows of Lauren Conrad and if you don't...well, I'm sorry. My obsession with her started in the sixth grade when I was just an awkward looking 12-year-old girl watching Laguna Beach hoping one day I could be just like her. Then, in 8th grade I watched her on The Hills and my friends and I would spend our class time writing notes to each other gossiping about what happened last night. Well it's several years later and here I am, 21, about to graduate college, and I am still dreaming of the LC lifestyle. So basically I'll sum up the ten times you wished your life was as fabulous as hers.

1. Her BFF was Stephen Colletti

If you grew up watching Laguna Beach you knew that Stephen was her go to guy for anything. Of course you also thought about how attractive he was and how much you wished he was your bff too. He always gave her the best advice and always looked good doing it.

2. Her high school spring break was spent in Cabo

In high school I really didn't even know spring break was a thing, I had two weeks off and probably spent them laying around at home or going on a vacation with my family or friends. Never in a million years would I have been allowed to take a trip with no parents to another country. So basically it was the coolest thing I've ever seen.

3. She interned for Teen Vogue

I don't know about you but my internship is a huge deal and interning for Lisa Love (Vogue editor at the time) would have been an experience of a life time for me. Could you imagine spending your time in downtown LA working for one the best high fashion magazines?

4. She dated Brody Jenner

Yes, my girl LC was spotted dating Brody Jenner during her time on The Hills. Of course the relationship was said to "drag out" on the show for ratings and whatnot, but it's still awesome that she dated him.

5. She released her own fashion line

In 2008 she showed off her first very own fashion line The Lauren Conrad Collection. It may not have been as successful as she wanted at first, but no worries she's coming back with more.

6. She wrote amazing books

2009 rolls around and she has written her first book, L.A. Candy and if you didn't read it,or the sequels, you're not a real fan. If you ask me, it was written about her own life but that's just my opinion. She even wrote a style guide that was absolutely to die for and my everyday guide in high school.

7. LC Lauren Conrad

I told you she would be back, and she's even better this time, LC Lauren Conrad was her second fashion line which she collaborated with Kohl's at the age of 26. If you didn't get excited, well that's a shame.

8. TV didn't change her

For someone who has spent the majority of her time filmed and around reality TV, she has benefitted from it. She has made an amazing name for herself and handled situations in such a way that she has always had a positive image in the media.

9. Her wedding was flawless

If you haven't seen the photos of her wedding day and her gown from September, you need to stop everything you're doing and check them out right this instant. Her custom made Mark Badgley and James Mischka gown was absolutely gorgeous.

10. Her lifelong bestie Lo

Every girl needs to have their own Lo in her life. Lauren and Lo have a friendship that is basically the modern day Serena and Blair. They are both down to earth and have high standards for themselves. They are each others go to girl for coffee, shopping, and movie nights. Friendships like this are essential for everyone and their bond is unbreakable.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
