The Lazy Girl's Guide To Makeup

Let me start off by saying that I am in no way a “makeup guru,” and if there are such things as a “lazy guru,”
then you may call me that. I love how makeup can make me look, but I rarely have the motivation to actually put it on. Most days, I go makeup free. Recently, however, I have been playing around with my makeup routine to see how I could get the best results in the quickest and easiest way possible.

I have found a few great products that will help bring out your natural features in 10 minutes or less!

1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Brightening Eye Perfector (SPF 25).

This product is perfect for when you need to get out the door quickly, but have those dreadful dark circles under your eyes. With this brush, all you do is twist the bottom, the liquid foundation comes out of the tip and you use the soft bristle brush to apply where necessary. Just doing this alone can make your face look so much brighter and well rested! Pair it with some mascara if you’re feeling fancy. Bonus: it moisturizes and protects your skin from the sun!

Price: $13.49 | Buy it here.

2. Blush -- any blush!

Blush is one of the easiest, fastest ways to even out your complexion and make your skin look more radiant. The best part about blush is that you don’t have to break the bank, you can get it at any CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.

3. Maybelline Brow Precise Shaping Pencil.

I have pretty much zero experience with brow shaping, but with this pencil you don’t need any! Eyebrows seem to be very important these days, so being able to quickly boost your brow game without much effort is a major win. The pencil comes out hard enough to make a difference in how your eyebrows look, but is light enough so that any mistakes are easily wiped away. Brow game on point in a minute or less? Worth every penny.

Price: $7.99 | Buy it here.

4. L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer.

This concealer stick is perfect for when you have a blemish you want to cover up. All you do is use the stick on the blemish and quickly blend it all in! Very little effort is needed here, and the results are amazing. There’s no need to spend time covering up your entire face with concealer when you have this handy tool to just cover up the one spot that really needs covering! Your natural skin is beautiful and does not need to be hidden.

Price: $7.97 | Buy it here.

5. Lip color -- any color!

This is such an easy way to bring out your natural skin tones and highlight your lips. Lipsticks and glosses come in all different shades and prices, so find one that works and (lip)stick to it!

Even though we all know that your face is naturally gorgeous, there is nothing wrong with using makeup to highlight your beautiful features...even if you are as lazy as I am! There is no need for your makeup routine to take an hour for it to be efficient and well done.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
