1. Take that last-minute shopping trip to your favorite boutique.

There is never a week that goes by when I do not miss my favorite stores from home. Never be afraid to splurge a little, as you will not be reunited for quite some time.

2. Spend as much time as you can with your family.

Pretty soon you will be sitting in the library wishing that you were sitting at your kitchen table with your family cracking jokes. It is the little moments that mean the most; never take them for granted.

3. Visit your favorite food spots.

It is no secret that sometimes college dining is not the best, so be sure to eat too many tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, whatever it may be because no one will make it better than they do at home.

4. Obviously make time for your pet, too!

There is no better best friend than your own pooch. Soon, you will be wishing that you were walking and spending time with your dog opposed to walking to class with no leash in your hand.

5. Spend the last couple of days relaxing.

Put on your beach clothes and be sure to have a frozen drink in your hand because soon it'll be sweat pants, coffee and exhaustion.

6. Go through your closet.

You will do a lot of therapy shopping when back at school, leaving you with more to come home with, so make room in your closet because when was the last time that you wore that one top anyway?

7. Spend too much time in Target.

New pens? Yes. New spirals? Yes. Everything in here? Yes ... I need it for school.

8. Go to a baseball game.

For me, no time at Wrigley Field is a bad time. Soak in those summer baseball games because they are not here forever.

9. Finally ... GET EXCITED!

Another year of college or did you mean another best year of your life? Although the studying may get hard sometimes, there is no better time than college. Get excited to see all your friends and get excited to make new memories to last a life time. After all, you did not just relax those three months for nothing.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
