Sadly, the summer is almost at an end with classes beginning again next month, or even this month if you don't go to Ramapo! Rather than getting super depressed about it and thinking the worst, I decided to come up with some last minute summer stops that you should visit regardless of whether or not you've already checked them out.

The Beach

I may not always be crazy about the beach, but it is a summer highlight that has to be done many times! Even if you already went six times and are bored of it, go for a seventh time! When it's freezing cold in the winter and you;re trapped in your dorm, you'll be glad you have vivid memories of chilling by the ocean and reading a nice book. Besides, when else do you have time to get a sick tan during the year?

The City

You can literally do anything in New York City. Check out some cool museums (don't worry, some are tailored to pop culture) see an amazing Broadway show (sorry, you can't see "Hamilton"), or go on a shopping spree. Don't feel like spending money? No worries, there are plenty of other things to do! Check out Central Park or wait in a standby line for any of the awesome late night shows that tape in the city such as "The Daily Show," "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," or "Late Night with Seth Meyers." If you get there early enough or already requested tickets in July, you're good to go!

The Zoo

Even if you;re totally not big on animals, you'd be surprised how relaxing it is simply being outdoors! While at the zoo, you can picnic or read by a bench rather than just looking at all the animals. You'll need to experience the outdoors as much as you can before the inconsistent autumn weather and the typically grueling winter weather, plus going to the zoo in any weather that isn't warm is pretty unbearable! (No, the "unbearable" in my previous sentence was not a pun.)

Your Friend's House

Don't just limit yourself to seeing all different places, see your hometown friends before you leave for school! Sure, you can't just invite yourself over your friend's house, but don't get too lazy and not hang out when the opportunity comes knocking! You're not always able to see your friends on winter and spring breaks from college unless everyone comes home frequently, so now is the time for your last hoorahs.

There it is, some last minute summer stops! Now all I have to do is take my own advice and not become a sponge for the rest of the summer watching Netflix all day!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
