Jack’s(*) arms were covered in bags as he finished his Christmas shopping this afternoon. However, things didn’t go according to plan. He was taking the escalator from the Build-A-Bear Factory to the downstairs As Seen On TV store, but to his surprised the escalator came to a sudden stop.

“It just broke down right while I was in the middle of it!” Jack said enthusiastically. Hours passed with no rescue in sight. “I was stuck. People were walking by, giggling,” he said, disgruntled. “I only had a few gifts left to purchase and not a lot of time to get them, my family was on their way over for dinner. I needed a Christmas miracle…and fast,” he told our reporter.

** And that’s exactly what happened. After being stuck for 3 hours, it was as if the Christmas Spirit itself came down and spoke to him. He took one step down. Then another. Finally his tired feet found the slick ceramic tiles of the first floor. He found his Christmas miracle indeed.
