The Last Few Weeks of the Semester Explained by Puppies

As our semester is drawing to a close you can feel the struggle and panic setting in. You want to raise those grades, finish those projects, write those papers, and pass your exams. No one knows your struggle as well as a puppy. Puppies are learning just as fast as you can download your last slide-set to study. So here are the most Common struggles know to man and man's best friend during these last few weeks.

Being Exhausted

During the last few weeks you will count more all nighters than sheep. The workload is pilling up and time is running short. (Pro tip: if you're feeling tired take an hour and thirty minute nap, this is the length of a sleep cycle and will make you feel more rested)

Giving Up Studying Time to Attend Formal (and Look Darn Cute Doing It)

Formal will be the final hurrah before break without you girls! Have fun and don't forget to go, even though you're studying. (pro tip: the week before formal look ahead and think about what big things you have due after formal so you don't have to stress during the party).

Going to the Library

Grab a few sisters and your books and go to the library. It's a pain to move to a new place but you'll get so much done if you commit to it. (pro tip: bring noise canceling headphones, with the spring weather everyone is sick or has allergies, these will cancel out all of the sniffling)

Being Social

Finding the energy to go and see your friends becomes a chore. Staying in and possibly inviting over a close friend to watch Netflix sounds way more inviting. (pro tip: If you do want to go out try doing your homework right after school on Saturday, rather than waiting until Sunday)

Waking Up For Those 8:00 a.m. Classes

That class that you just had to take is now a drag to wake up and go to. You wait until the last minute, then throw on some leggings and go. (pro tip: Coffee. So. Much. Coffee.).

Studying For Exams

You started off strong, but once classes end it is a slippery slope away from your books and a few short days until summer. This can be the greatest struggle of the last semester. (Pro tip: collect all your study materials from the semester, don't try to make new materials).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
